5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which will permanently remove your profile, loops, and associated data. Payment records may be retained as required by law.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Loop Easy complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We take children's privacy seriously.

How Kid Profiles Work

Children under 13 cannot create their own accounts. Instead, a parent or guardian creates a "kid profile" within their own account. The parent serves as the verified consenting adult. Kid profiles are fully managed by the parent — the child uses the parent's device or a shared family device.

Data We Collect for Kid Profiles

  • First name (chosen by parent)
  • Age range (chosen by parent, used only for content rating filtering)
  • Content interests/categories (chosen by parent)
  • Screen time usage (minutes watched, used for parental screen time limits)

We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, location data, photos, or any other personal information from children under 13.

How Kid Data Is Used

Kid profile data is used solely for:

  • Filtering content to age-appropriate ratings (G, PG, PG-13)
  • Enforcing screen time limits set by the parent
  • Displaying the child's name within the family dashboard

We do not serve behavioral advertising to kid profiles. We do not build interest profiles for advertising. We do not share kid data with third parties.

Parental Rights

Parents can at any time:

  • View all data associated with their child's profile
  • Edit or update their child's profile information
  • Delete their child's profile and all associated data
  • Adjust content ratings and screen time limits

To exercise these rights, use the Family section of your Dashboard or contact us at support@loopeasy.com.

Parental Consent for Email Collection

When a parent invites a child to create their own login (for any kid profile), we require explicit parental consent before collecting the child's email address. The parent must check a consent box confirming they are the legal guardian and approve email collection for authentication purposes only. Consent is recorded with a timestamp and the parent's account ID.

Age Verification

All independent account creation requires a birth year. Users under 13 are directed to have a parent create a family profile for them. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create independent accounts without parental involvement. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account without parental consent, contact us at support@loopeasy.com and we will delete it immediately.

Parental Responsibility

Parents and legal guardians are responsible for monitoring and approving the content available to their children through Loop Easy. While we provide content rating filters and screen time controls, parents should review their child's profile settings and available content regularly.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and data, and opt out of analytics tracking. To exercise these rights, email support@loopeasy.com or use the Settings page.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated via email or site notice.
